Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.45% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 4.95% or 410.0 points to trade at 8690.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 3.04% or 0.7 points to end at 23.7 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) was up 2.09% or 220.0 points to 10740.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 1.30% or 15.0 points to trade at 1140.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 0.42% or 80.0 points to end at 19000.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) shed 0.34% or 40.0 points to 11880.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.28% or 0.39 to $138.93 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 1.42% or 30.50 to hit $2123.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 4.85 to trade at $1250.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.09% to 2908.82, while BRL/COP fell 0.53% to 926.32.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 99.53.
