Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 3.18% or 70.0 points to trade at 2270.0 at the close. Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) added 1.70% or 640.0 points to end at 38300.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) was up 1.52% or 560.0 points to 37480.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 1.66% or 200.0 points to trade at 11840.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 1.07% or 0.2 points to end at 18.5 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.75% or 440.0 points to 58500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 9 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 3.58% or 5.16 to $149.18 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.19% or 6.00 to hit $3103.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.16% or 2.15 to trade at $1356.25 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.16% to 2933.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.39% to 886.50.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 96.61.
