Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which rose 7.74% or 4300.0 points to trade at 59840.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 6.64% or 1860.0 points to end at 29880.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.27% or 35.0 points to 2785.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 3.60% or 0.8 points to trade at 21.4 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.08% or 7.0 points to end at 642.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 0.53% or 160.0 points to 29820.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.55% or 0.80 to $146.73 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 3.91% or 74.50 to hit $1979.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 7.15 to trade at $1232.55 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.16% to 2877.12, while BRL/COP rose 1.06% to 940.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 101.13.
