Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.93% or 280.0 points to trade at 9840.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 2.07% or 25.0 points to end at 1230.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 0.84% or 220.0 points to 26300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which lost 1.56% or 280.0 points to trade at 17620.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.30% or 140.0 points to end at 10640.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) shed 1.24% or 480.0 points to 38100.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.69% or 0.97 to $140.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 3.73% or 107.50 to hit $2992.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.56% or 7.75 to trade at $1364.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.27% to 3142.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.81% to 969.31.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 95.49.
