Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Investment, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.64% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 6.37% or 620.0 points to trade at 10360.0 at the close. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) added 0.13% or 5.0 points to end at 3900.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to 18.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 3.58% or 520.0 points to trade at 14000.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 2.92% or 520.0 points to end at 17280.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) shed 2.86% or 1060.0 points to 35940.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 4 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.80% or 2.93 to $159.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.10% or 2.50 to hit $2467.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 3.46% or 43.85 to trade at $1222.55 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.04% to 3117.70, while BRL/COP fell 0.13% to 919.19.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 99.05.
