Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.88% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV (COP:DSV), which rose 2.84% or 6.9 points to trade at 249.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Jyske Bank A/S (COP:JYSK) added 1.86% or 6.7 points to end at 366.7 and William Demant Holding (COP:WDH) was up 1.74% or 9.0 points to 525.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (COP:TDC), which fell 0.10% or 0.05 points to trade at 51.80 at the close. ISS A/S (COP:ISS) added 0.08% or 0.20 points to end at 238.00 and Genmab (COP:GEN) was up 0.23% or 1.5 points to 652.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 109 to 48 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in DSV (COP:DSV) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.84% or 6.9 to 249.9. Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (COP:JYSK) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.86% or 6.7 to 366.7.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.64% or 0.75 to $44.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.53% or 0.77 to hit $49.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.00 to trade at $1084.70 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.12% to 6.8657, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4618.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 98.22.
