Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.03% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 4.55% or 0.2340 points to trade at 5.3800 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.85% or 0.210 points to end at 7.566 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 2.65% or 0.65 points to 25.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which lost 6.30% or 0.38 points to trade at 5.58 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.64% or 0.29 points to end at 17.65 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 1.08% or 0.45 points to 41.26.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.71% or 1.26 to $75.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.75% or 0.51 to hit $68.61 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.80 to trade at $1317.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.2095, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8785.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 91.52.
