Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 0.88% or 0.075 points to trade at 8.555 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.44% or 0.040 points to end at 9.225 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 0.31% or 0.11 points to 35.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 2.96% or 0.141 points to trade at 4.627 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.89% or 0.1420 points to end at 4.7660 and DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) shed 2.25% or 0.4100 points to 17.7900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 112 to 34 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.97% or 0.76 to $77.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.25% or 0.87 to hit $69.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1202.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1623, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.9003.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 95.11.
