Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V), which rose 4.58% or 1.21 points to trade at 27.64 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) added 4.38% or 0.23 points to end at 5.37 and KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) was up 3.45% or 1.19 points to 35.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HEL:UPM1V), which fell 1.60% or 0.23 points to trade at 14.15 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) declined 1.40% or 0.105 points to end at 7.385 and Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) was down 1.12% or 0.40 points to 35.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 100 to 70 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 4.28% or 2.04 to $49.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 5.72% or 2.55 to hit $47.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.81% or 20.00 to trade at $1122.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1308, while EUR/GBP fell 0.61% to 0.7297.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.42% at 95.36.
