Proactive Investors - Fireweed Metals Corp (TSX-V:FWZ, OTCQB:FWEDF), the mining company, has had its listing upgraded to the OTCQX from the OTCQB Venture market, highlighting the “quality” of the group and its projects.
From Tuesday, the Canadian company will trade on the OTCQX under the ticker FWEDF, providing it with greater visibility among US investors.
Companies wishing to be upgraded to the market are required to meet “high financial standards”, showcase high-quality corporate governance, and be compliant with “applicable securities laws”.
Brandon Macdonald, chief executive at the mining group, said: “Fireweed’s transition from OTCQB to OTCQX affirms the quality of our company and projects. By being on the OTCQX platform, we've broadened accessibility to Fireweed shares, catering to a wider spectrum of investors.
“This is poised to enhance our shareholder base both in the U.S. and globally, amplifying our overall liquidity.”
Fireweed had explored and developed two of the world’s largest and highest-grade critical metals projects in Macpass, a zinc-lead-silver project in Canada’s Yukon, and the adjacent tungsten mine Mactung.
