Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Basic Industry and Miscellaneous Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Pelat Timah Nusantara Tbk (JK:NIKL), which rose 34.68% or 43 points to trade at 167 at the close. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Agroniaga (JK:AGRO) added 34.07% or 31 points to end at 122 and PP Properti Tbk PT (JK:PPRO) was up 25.00% or 57 points to 285 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Primarindo Asia Infrastructure Tbk PT (JK:BIMA), which lost 9.86% or 34 points to trade at 311 in late trade. Island Concepts Indonesia Tbk (JK:ICON) declined 9.63% or 39 points to end at 366 and Bukit Darmo Property Tbk (JK:BKDP) shed 9.47% or 9 points to 86.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 191 to 96 and 88 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.38% or 0.58 to $41.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.03% or 0.46 to hit $44.23 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.28% or 16.20 to trade at $1244.70 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.47% to 13145.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.55% to 10137.15.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.58% at 94.57.
