Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Financials and Consumer Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite gained 1.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Asia Pacific Fibers Tbk (JK:POLY), which rose 34.51% or 39 points to trade at 152 at the close. Duta Pertiwi Nusantara Tbk (JK:DPNS) added 24.84% or 76 points to end at 382 and Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (JK:ERAA) was up 24.82% or 340 points to 1710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indah Prakasa Sentosa PT Tbk (JK:INPS), which lost 24.90% or 650 points to trade at 1960 in late trade. Paramita Bangun Sarana Tbk PT (JK:PBSA) declined 20.53% or 195 points to end at 755 and Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (JK:DSSA) shed 19.84% or 2475.00 points to 10000.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 248 to 158 and 94 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.06% or 0.72 to $67.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.10% or 0.81 to hit $72.98 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.40 to trade at $1318.00 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.28% to 13904.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.36% to 10474.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 91.47.
