Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.25% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 1.54% or 910 points to trade at 59980 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 1.38% or 20 points to end at 1470 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.21% or 410 points to 34310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which lost 2.37% or 81 points to trade at 3337 in late trade. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 1.12% or 240 points to end at 21100 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.01% or 6.7 points to 657.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 187 to 164 and 92 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.49% or 1.62 to $47.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.61% or 1.69 to hit $48.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.35 to trade at $1214.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.40% to 3.8719, while EUR/ILS fell 0.11% to 4.1115.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 101.00.
