Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which rose 2.32% or 0.15 points to trade at 6.84 at the close. A2A (MI:A2) added 1.86% or 0.027 points to end at 1.482 and Enel (MI:ENEI) was up 1.40% or 0.066 points to 4.780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which lost 2.89% or 0.72 points to trade at 24.18 in late trade. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 1.83% or 0.39 points to end at 20.90 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) shed 1.58% or 0.044 points to 2.740.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 214 to 146 and 11 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.08% or 0.51 to $47.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.67% or 0.33 to hit $49.80 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.02% or 13.03 to trade at $1295.73 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1270, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8744.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.57.
