Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Chemicals and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which rose 4.46% or 0.57 points to trade at 13.34 at the close. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) added 3.54% or 0.106 points to end at 3.098 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was up 2.94% or 0.5000 points to 17.5000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Recordati (MI:RECI), which lost 1.49% or 0.53 points to trade at 34.96 in late trade. A2A (MI:A2) declined 1.38% or 0.020 points to end at 1.434 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) shed 1.10% or 0.29 points to 26.16.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 206 to 150 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.46% or 1.11 to $46.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.18% or 1.04 to hit $48.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.62 to trade at $1223.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.1412, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.8811.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 95.64.
