Investing.com - Lam Research (NASDAQ:LRCX) reported Wednesday third quarter results that missed analysts' forecasts as supply chain woes continued to hamper the chipmaker's ability to meet demand.
Lam Research shares lost 1.2% in after-hours trade following the report.
Lam Research announced earnings per share of $7.4 on revenue of $4.06 billion. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $7.56 on revenue of $4.26 billion.
The company flagged "extraordinarily difficult supply environment," but said it was focused on "resolving our supply issues as quickly as possible to support strong customer demand."
Looking ahead, the company forecasts revenue of $4.20 billion, give to take $300 million, missing analysts forecasts of $4.45 billion.
