Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services, Industrials and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 1.41% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEGACPO), which rose 1.36% or 1.060 points to trade at 79.260 at the close. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 0.59% or 4.79 points to end at 812.31 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) was up 0.45% or 0.090 points to 20.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which lost 4.66% or 0.890 points to trade at 18.200 in late trade. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) declined 3.18% or 10.90 points to end at 332.14 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) shed 2.67% or 1.560 points to 56.920.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 127 to 101 and 10 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.96% or 12.37 to $1275.13 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.51% or 0.29 to hit $56.88 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.26 to trade at $63.67 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.32% to 19.1020, while EUR/MXN rose 0.52% to 22.2846.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 94.30.
