Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Forestry & Paper and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which rose 5.97% or 33 points to trade at 584 at the close. Meanwhile, Sothema (CS:SOT) added 5.95% or 73 points to end at 1299 and S2M (CS:S2M) was up 5.00% or 9.00 points to 189.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Label Vie (CS:LBV), which fell 6.00% or 72 points to trade at 1128 at the close. Colorado (CS:COL) declined 4.81% or 3.70 points to end at 73.10 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was down 3.51% or 39 points to 1070.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.96% or 0.43 to $44.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.45% or 0.21 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.28% or 3.30 to trade at $1166.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.17% to 10.8340, while USD/MAD fell 0.23% to 9.7992.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 96.83.
