Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Chemicals and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 3.18% or 3.50 points to trade at 113.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) added 3.17% or 4.00 points to end at 130.00 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) was up 2.94% or 5.00 points to 175.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which fell 5.98% or 0.92 points to trade at 14.45 at the close. Involys (CS:INV) declined 5.97% or 7.25 points to end at 114.05 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 5.45% or 29 points to 501.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonasid (CS:SOND) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.45% or 29 to 501.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.01% or 0.47 to $46.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.63% or 0.32 to hit $50.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.50 to trade at $1181.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.03% to 10.9510, while USD/MAD rose 0.10% to 9.6358.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.67.
