Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 8.29% or 0.51 points to trade at 6.60 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 7.23% or 0.07 points to end at 1.07 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.80% or 0.90 points to 51.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which lost 3.56% or 9.80 points to trade at 265.20 in late trade. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 2.81% or 1.45 points to end at 50.20 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) shed 2.17% or 0.93 points to 41.88.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 78 and 32 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.30% or 0.68 to $52.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.10% or 0.61 to hit $55.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1256.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.37% to 9.1348, while USD/NOK fell 0.54% to 8.6136.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 100.89.
