Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Telecoms and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 16.84% or 0.79 points to trade at 5.48 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 2.84% or 3.8 points to end at 137.6 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.50% or 4.5 points to 184.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG), which lost 3.42% or 1.6 points to trade at 45.8 in late trade. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 1.77% or 0.62 points to end at 34.44 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) shed 1.74% or 4.00 points to 225.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 78 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.60% or 0.31 to $51.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.57% or 0.31 to hit $53.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1250.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.15% to 9.3812, while USD/NOK rose 0.20% to 8.3925.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.34.
