Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Banking and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 4.50% or 6.6 points to trade at 153.3 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 2.48% or 7.2 points to end at 297.2 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 2.41% or 0.70 points to 29.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which lost 2.23% or 0.62 points to trade at 27.15 in late trade. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) declined 1.41% or 1.60 points to end at 111.60 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 1.35% or 0.02 points to 1.32.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 67 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.57% or 0.27 to $47.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.85% or 0.42 to hit $49.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.45 to trade at $1342.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.05% to 9.2926, while USD/NOK rose 0.14% to 8.2180.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.49.
