Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Materials, Diversified Financials and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 5.04% or 0.39 points to trade at 8.03 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 4.14% or 0.60 points to end at 15.10 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 4.13% or 1.91 points to 48.19 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which lost 5.40% or 4.15 points to trade at 72.75 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.08% or 4.30 points to end at 202.80 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 1.75% or 2.50 points to 140.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 73 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.61% or 0.74 to $46.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.39% or 0.68 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.50% or 18.65 to trade at $1223.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.5104, while USD/NOK rose 0.25% to 8.3659.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 95.91.
