Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Capital Goods and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 2.54% or 1.25 points to trade at 50.50 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 1.76% or 0.83 points to end at 47.88 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 1.70% or 4.0 points to 238.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 4.33% or 0.95 points to trade at 21.00 in late trade. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) declined 3.18% or 2.45 points to end at 74.55 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 2.46% or 8.2 points to 324.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 69 and 33 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.17% or 1.10 to $49.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.91% or 1.01 to hit $51.98 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1286.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.44% to 9.2796, while USD/NOK rose 0.70% to 8.6811.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 99.89.
