Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Media and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG), which rose 3.56% or 14.7 points to trade at 427.6 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 1.66% or 4.10 points to end at 251.50 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 1.33% or 0.02 points to 1.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.19% or 0.9 points to trade at 20.8 in late trade. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 4.16% or 2.65 points to end at 61.10 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 3.67% or 0.96 points to 25.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 119 to 56 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.10% or 0.05 to $50.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.45 to trade at $1258.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.02% to 9.0453, while USD/NOK fell 0.31% to 8.1906.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 97.64.
