Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Diversified Financials and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 6.50% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.25 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 1.69% or 0.43 points to end at 25.87 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 1.30% or 4.40 points to 342.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 5.20% or 1.1 points to trade at 19.5 in late trade. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 4.06% or 6.20 points to end at 146.60 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 3.30% or 0.28 points to 8.06.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 69 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.31% or 0.66 to $49.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.19% or 0.62 to hit $51.33 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1256.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.15% to 9.0065, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 8.1893.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 97.89.
