Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC), which rose 6.64% or 4.5 points to trade at 71.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) added 5.70% or 2.02 points to end at 37.46 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was up 5.58% or 0.44 points to 8.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenor ASA (OSLO:TEL), which fell 1.16% or 2.1 points to trade at 179.2 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OSLO:SBSTA) declined 1.02% or 2.9 points to end at 281.1 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) was down 0.93% or 0.30 points to 31.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 70 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.53% or 0.26 to $49.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.65% or 0.34 to hit $53.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.33% or 3.60 to trade at $1089.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.55% to 8.9057, while USD/NOK rose 0.08% to 8.1593.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 97.75.
