Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, S&P Lima Juniors and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 5.50% or 0.300 points to trade at 5.750 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 3.03% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 1.75% or 0.010 points to 0.580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 13.57% or 0.190 points to trade at 1.210 in late trade. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 0.87% or 0.010 points to end at 1.140 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) shed 0.37% or 0.060 points to 16.090.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 4 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.19% or 0.13 to $68.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 5.00 to trade at $1317.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.2365, while EUR/PEN fell 0.61% to 3.9260.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 91.39.
