Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 2.07% or 0.300 points to trade at 14.800 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 1.75% or 0.010 points to end at 0.580 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 1.27% or 0.100 points to 8.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferreyros (LM:FER), which lost 3.05% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.590 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 2.19% or 0.003 points to end at 0.134 and Relapasa (LM:REL) shed 1.92% or 0.005 points to 0.255.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.39% or 0.18 to $46.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $48.18 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.23% or 3.05 to trade at $1331.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.4035, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8102.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.12.
