WARSAW, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Poland's power grid operator PSE
said on Wednesday that the country's biggest power firm PGE
PGE.WA extended the planned outage at its 858 megawatt (MW)
unit in Belchatow power plant by 6 hours, until 1600 GMT.
The maintenance was supposed to be completed on Tuesday
midnight local time, but the deadline had already been postponed
once until 1000 GMT on Wednesday.
The Belchatow unit, the biggest one in Poland, is currently
key for the country's electricity grid as a continued heatwave
streches some of the outdated power plants' capacities.
Earlier on Wednesday, Poland's grid operator PSE announced
power consumption limits for the biggest power users until 1500
GMT.
