WARSAW, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Poland's grid operator PSE said
on Tuesday it plans to remove electricity consumption limits for
large customers starting from 1500 GMT on Tuesday if the
situation does not change, the grid operator's head Henryk
Majchrzak said.
Earlier on Tuesday, PSE said that it introduced the 17th
degree of power supply from 1100 GMT until 1500 GMT on Tuesday,
with the 20th degree indicating sharpest limits and 11th degree
meaning in practice no limits.
The grid had previously said the 19th degree of supply would
be in place over this period of time.
From 1500 GMT until 2000 GMT on Tuesday the limit would be
eased to the 11th degree of power supply from the 17th
previously, the grid said.
The heatwave has forced Poland to sharply cut electricity
supply to industry for the first time in over a decade, pushing
some companies to limit production. ID:nL5N10L2QJ
