Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Media and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE), which rose 3.18% or 0.44 points to trade at 14.26 at the close. Meanwhile, CCC SA (WA:CCCP) added 2.13% or 3.70 points to end at 177.15 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was up 1.98% or 0.49 points to 25.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were mBank SA (WA:MBK), which fell 3.88% or 14.95 points to trade at 370.05 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 2.51% or 0.34 points to end at 13.21 and PKO Bank Polski SA (WA:PKO) was down 1.84% or 0.55 points to 29.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 279 to 275 and 113 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.96% or 0.43 to $44.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.47% or 0.23 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.28% or 3.30 to trade at $1166.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.57% to 4.2763, while USD/PLN rose 0.11% to 3.8649.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 96.81.
