Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.17% or 0.0012 points to trade at 0.0390 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 2.90% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.1420 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 1.69% or 0.1140 points to 6.8640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 2.20% or 0.0420 points to trade at 1.8640 in late trade. Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) declined 1.83% or 0.0200 points to end at 1.0750 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 1.67% or 0.0570 points to 3.3560.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 23 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 1.38% or 0.63 to $45.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.09% or 0.48 to hit $43.70 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1252.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1298, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.7885.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.53.
