Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.26% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.44% or 0.0036 points to trade at 0.1510 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 1.13% or 0.0600 points to end at 5.3810 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 0.87% or 0.0060 points to 0.6960 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 1.54% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.3840 in late trade. REN (LS:RENE) declined 0.87% or 0.0230 points to end at 2.6250 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 0.85% or 0.0070 points to 0.8190.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.11% or 0.06 to $55.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.41% or 0.22 to hit $53.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1240.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.0617, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8541.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 100.85.
