Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 1.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 2.84% or 0.1670 points to trade at 6.0370 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 2.65% or 0.1520 points to end at 5.8900 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 2.31% or 0.0700 points to 3.0980 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco BPI (LS:BBPI), which lost 0.18% or 0.0020 points to trade at 1.1270 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to end at 0.2520 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 0.0154.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 38 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.67% or 0.35 to $51.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.65% or 0.33 to hit $50.11 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1256.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.59% to 1.0993, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.9013.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 97.91.
