Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 1.07% or 0.0025 points to trade at 0.2360 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) added 0.31% or 0.0040 points to end at 1.2750 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.19% or 0.020 points to 10.340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 1.79% or 0.0640 points to trade at 3.5120 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.76% or 0.2850 points to end at 15.8700 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 1.45% or 0.0800 points to 5.4200.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.33% or 0.93 to $69.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.89% or 0.59 to hit $65.55 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.92% or 12.50 to trade at $1339.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.2361, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 89.31.
