Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 6.29% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.1520 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 0.90% or 0.064 points to end at 7.212 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 0.80% or 0.0550 points to 6.9300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which lost 4.07% or 0.1380 points to trade at 3.2560 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.20% or 0.0006 points to end at 0.0267 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 0.55% or 0.0650 points to 11.6500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 29 to 17 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.91% or 0.45 to $50.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.55% or 0.27 to hit $49.28 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1214.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1152, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.7732.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 95.52.
