Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP (LS:EDP), which rose 2.14% or 0.0600 points to trade at 2.8700 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) added 1.06% or 0.0280 points to end at 2.6630 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 0.81% or 0.1250 points to 15.5050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which lost 5.52% or 0.2960 points to trade at 5.0680 in late trade. Montepio (LS:MPIO) declined 5.41% or 0.025 points to end at 0.437 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 2.93% or 0.1280 points to 4.2420.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 12 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.11% or 0.06 to $55.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.41% or 0.22 to hit $53.11 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1226.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.40% to 1.0579, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8652.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 101.72.
