Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.39%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.37% or 0.0019 points to trade at 0.0582 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LS:RENE) added 2.45% or 0.0690 points to end at 2.8850 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 1.06% or 0.1350 points to 12.8600 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Banif SA (LS:BANIF), which fell 11.76% or 0.0004 points to trade at 0.0030 at the close. Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) declined 1.49% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.6620 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 1.28% or 0.1240 points to 9.5970.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 30 to 22 and 2 ended unchanged.

Shares in Banif SA (LS:BANIF) fell to all time lows; losing 11.76% or 0.0004 to 0.0030.

Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.26% or 0.12 to $48.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.48% or 0.22 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.39% or 4.60 to trade at $1177.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.1351, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.7342.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 94.83.
