Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Auto & components and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 4.00% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) added 3.91% or 30.0 points to end at 797.5 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was up 2.02% or 0.8 points to 40.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which fell 1.76% or 1.0 points to trade at 55.9 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) declined 1.56% or 0.40 points to end at 25.30 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) was down 1.40% or 0.40 points to 28.23.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 76 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.91% or 30.0 to 797.5.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.95% or 1.33 to $46.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.80% or 0.85 to hit $48.33 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.47% or 5.30 to trade at $1132.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.24% to 9.1959, while USD/NOK rose 0.59% to 8.2045.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 95.94.
