• Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) stock jumped 4.23% as the online retailer forecast operating income of between $1.4 billion and $2.4 billion for the third quarter, beating analyst estimates of $843 million.
• Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) stock sank 6.77% as its data center results and margin outlook disappointed.
• Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) slumped 3.3% as the company reported second-quarter results and earnings per share, assuming dilution, of $0.92, compared to expectations of $1.28.
• Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE:CMG) stock soared 5.43% as its second-quarter comparable sales rose 3.3%, compared to the Thomson Reuters estimate of 2.7%.
