Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 1.79% or 4.20 points to trade at 238.90 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 1.18% or 0.65 points to end at 55.95 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.08% or 1.65 points to 154.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which lost 1.06% or 1.85 points to trade at 172.75 in late trade. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 0.88% or 1.4 points to end at 159.4 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) shed 0.86% or 0.8 points to 87.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 316 to 291 and 50 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.56% or 0.99 to $64.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.82% or 0.57 to hit $69.77 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.50 to trade at $1322.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 9.7856, while USD/SEK fell 0.85% to 8.1307.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 91.64.
