Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.95% or 0.78 points to trade at 16.59 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 3.17% or 8.90 points to end at 289.50 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.45% or 1.10 points to 46.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 1.55% or 4.1 points to trade at 260.2 in late trade. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) declined 1.26% or 1.5 points to end at 117.5 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) shed 1.24% or 2.10 points to 167.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 382 to 245 and 37 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.25% or 0.15 to $60.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.63% or 0.42 to hit $66.45 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.80 to trade at $1313.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.35% to 9.8544, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 8.1790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 91.59.
