Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.25% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which rose 7.69% or 3.75 points to trade at 52.52 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 7.25% or 11.25 points to end at 166.35 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 2.49% or 2.50 points to 102.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which lost 2.44% or 4.4 points to trade at 175.8 in late trade. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 0.91% or 2.7 points to end at 294.3 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 0.89% or 0.37 points to 41.03.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 393 to 340 and 92 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $51.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $57.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 8.35 to trade at $1281.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 9.6241, while USD/SEK rose 0.62% to 8.1749.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.67% at 93.62.
