Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 5.03% or 11.00 points to trade at 229.80 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) added 4.13% or 6.3 points to end at 158.9 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 3.92% or 1.75 points to 46.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 4.58% or 13.6 points to trade at 283.1 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 2.60% or 5.7 points to end at 213.7 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) shed 2.43% or 6.2 points to 249.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 359 to 254 and 54 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.39% or 0.63 to $44.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.25% or 0.58 to hit $45.78 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.86% or 10.95 to trade at $1262.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 9.8883, while USD/SEK rose 0.41% to 9.0870.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 98.86.
