In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $53.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.14% or 0.08 to hit $56.16 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.20 to trade at $1181.60 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.66% to 31.553, while TWD/CNY fell 0.14% to 0.2182.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 100.76.
