At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index climbed 0.09%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap also increased. The TSX Venture rose 1.00%, while the Smallcap was up by 0.56%.
- IAMGold (TSX:IMG): Increased 7.22% or 0.51 points to 7.57.
- First Majestic Silver (TSX:AG): Climbed 7.09% or 0.62 points to 9.36.
- Fortuna Mining (TSX:FVI): Rose 5.43% or 0.35 points to 6.79.
- Calibre Mining (TSX:CXB): Dropped 6.09% or 0.17 points to 2.62.
- Bausch Health (TSX:BHC): Fell 3.03% or 0.35 points to 11.19.
- Tamarack Valley (TSX:TVE) Energy: Declined 2.26% or 0.090 points to 3.900.
In Commodities Trading:
- December Brent Oil Contract dropped by 1.14% or 0.85 points to 73.60 a barrel.
- Crude Oil for November delivery fell 0.89 points to 69.78 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for December delivery rose 22.60 points to 2,730.10 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD touched 1.38 but still at 1.3798.
- EUR/CAD is at 1.4981.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 103.377.
