* On the TSX 155 issues rose and 63 fell as a 2.5-to-1 ratio favored advancers. There were 26 new highs and no new lows, with total volume of 187.4 million shares.
* The most heavily traded shares by volume were Suncor Energy Inc, Blackberry Ltd and Cenovus Energy Inc.
* The TSX's energy group rose 0.05 points, or 0.0%, while the financials sector climbed 0.98 points, or 0.3%.
* West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 1.89%, or $1.23, to $63.82 a barrel. Brent crude fell 1.45%, or $0.99, to $67.25 [O/R]
