Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Metal Products & Machinery and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which rose 17.05% or 0.600 points to trade at 4.120 at the close. T.S.K.B. (IS:TSKB) added 5.07% or 0.070 points to end at 1.450 and Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) was up 3.77% or 1.36 points to 37.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which lost 9.20% or 0.150 points to trade at 1.480 in late trade. Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) declined 3.29% or 0.050 points to end at 1.470 and Eczacibasi Ilac (IS:ECILC) shed 2.29% or 0.080 points to 3.420.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 199 to 110 and 89 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 1.07% or 14.35 to $1353.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.27% or 0.13 to hit $48.86 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.18 to trade at $50.17 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 2.9048, while EUR/TRY rose 0.11% to 3.2379.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 95.62.
