Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Metal Products & Machinery, Information Technology and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sise Cam (IS:SISE), which rose 3.71% or 0.140 points to trade at 3.910 at the close. Vestel (IS:VESTL) added 3.43% or 0.240 points to end at 7.240 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was up 3.29% or 0.56 points to 17.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ford Otosan (IS:FROTO), which lost 5.81% or 2.32 points to trade at 37.60 in late trade. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.35% or 0.010 points to end at 0.220 and Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) shed 3.22% or 0.24 points to 7.22.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 211 to 118 and 80 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 2.04% or 25.85 to $1292.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.63% or 0.29 to hit $45.74 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.11% or 0.53 to trade at $47.24 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.64% to 2.7948, while EUR/TRY rose 0.15% to 3.1981.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.64% at 93.13.
